Sigrion Villas

Sigrion Villas are condominiums located just 10 minutes walk from the village of Sigri. This recently-built unit establishes a different type of accommodation for visitors to Sigri – stylish condominiums for visitors who want the comforts, space, and privacy of a home while on vacation.

Each villa faces the sea and consists of three levels: on the ground floor is the living room (futon couch, coffee table), kitchen (fridge/freezer, kitchenette, kettle, pots and pans, dishes, silverware), dining area (table/chairs), bathroom (shower, toilet) and master bedroom (double bed). The second level has a single bed, and the loft area has 2 single beds. Patios of each villa, where guests can leave their windsurf equipment with no worries, offer outdoor tables/chairs and views of the sea and sunset.

The atmosphere is familiar, cozy, with wooden-beamed ceilings, marble floors, and minimal décor, which has been carefully chosen. The top priority in these units is comfort. The wind and bells from distant sheep herds are the only sounds one hears and lull one to sleep. Sunsets are beautifully viewed from the front porches, or better yet, framed perfectly by the loft windows.

Sigrion Villas are an excellent choice for families, as there is ample space for children to play on the grounds. The grounds surrounding the rentals offer a swimming pool, bbq area, garden with fresh vegetables and fruit, and quite corners for meditation. Parking available on site. The only sounds guess will hear are sheep bells and the wind

The villas may also be rented out for group retreats, as the grounds make an excellent backdrop for yoga, meditation, etc.

It is always wonderful to stay at Sigrion Villas. The views across the field to the sea are lovely and apart from the sheep bells ringing there is nothing to disturb the peace and quiet. At night we love to sit outside on the terrace with a glass or two of the local wine as we admire the stars and enjoy the silence. The Camatsos family are fantastic hosts and have always made us feel so welcome and we always return home feeling relaxed and re- charged!

We spent an excellent month in Sigri, staying in the Evangelia apartments. The owners of the property made us feel really welcome. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and perfectly located for the “swimming” beach (shallow water, shade, beautiful views – perfect for families) as well as the little centre of Sigri where you can find authentic Greek tavernas and a couple of low key bars – brilliant for a “getting away from it all” holiday. We hired bikes and cycled most days to the windsurf centre; it’s a great spot for all levels. We can’t wait to go back to Sigri!

Having never been to Lesvos before, I went to Sigri on a friend’s recommendation of a quaint, picturesque coastal village. My room at Kastro was perfect: kitchen, balcony with sea view, right in the center of town-literally a step to tavernas, cafes, mini-markets, and the beaches. I’m a runner, and had amazing morning runs to the Petrified Forest (a must-see), or one of Sigri’s many beaches. I spent my days wind surfing (the center is a 10 minute walk from Kastro). The main beach is a leisurely 5 minute walk through town. Honestly, if I didn’t have to go back to work, I would have stayed another month. The locals are so hospitable, the landscape is absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere relaxing and Sigri provides all the amenities one would ever want for such a getaway. While I don’t often return to the same place twice, I already have my Sigri trip booked for next summer and will stay in Kastro again!
